Maia (5.9 y.o.) and Camelia

Camelia, I am reading this at 5 AM in the morning (Texas time) and my heart is melting. I am very proud of your progress and this is the main reason that I enjoy my job. Always. Sometimes I wish to run and hide somewhere, though :woohoo: But this is happening just when it is very - very hard or 'too much'
Maia should know that we have good times and bad times and they are coming and going. What is keeping us strong, optimistic and healthy is all genuine things: love, culture, music, self-worth, self-esteem, spiritual growth. If we have this, we always win and becoming better versions of ourselves.

You are so right, dear Hellene! I feel blessed having people like you "around" us!
I'm sure everything will turn out in well and we'll be even stronger than before (and richer in friends).

Here is Maia's latest piano activity .
~ We did some fast note writing exercise on the piece "The Doll's Grief":



~ She did, for the first time in her life on real paper, on standard size staff, note duration writing. We must repeat this exercise, it was so, so fun and educative!



~ She finally put together the gorgeous Franz Shubert "Serenade":



~ Of course, the song must be seriously polished with the teaching videos . Here Maia plays the piece together with Natalia and the results are fantastic!
Maia says that, for the recital in Mai, she'll play it like Natalia :woohoo:

Camelia, the progress is awesome! I enjoy watching the videos very much!
We will advance the music dictation writing in summer: there are some sharps and flats that we should consider to add to the melody,
BUT she is writing music! This is absolutely AWESOME! :woohoo:
