Nominee for today Isaac 3 years 8 months.

Dear Isaac, you are such a wonderful boy! You just had started to play piano at the last day of April and now can play several songs! You have such tiny fingers, but using all of them! It is absolutely amazing! :woohoo:

When you played Ode to Joy - one of the hardest pieces from the 'Introductory Songs' we were especially very proud of you! You used all the fingers correctly and sometimes even played the notes LEGATO! Wow!

You were playing the pieces fast enough and with minimum mistakes! You also were using the tips of your fingers for touching the piano keys as our great master of piano Lubov Yanpolsky suggesting. We LOVE that!

You also already know the math and can count, how many mistakes you make. This is great! Music and math are good friends and helping one another. We know that in future you are going to be a great student in school! Way to go!

We are looking forward to see you growing and watch more of your videos.

We are rewarding you with certificate of participation in our recital.
On the top of that we are sending you a T-shirt with the nomination 'Great fine motor skills development!'

Love,
Hellene Hiner and Soft Mozart team

Nominee for today: Ariana, 3-year-old, USA

Dear Ariana,

Last time, when we met on Skype, you told me, that you are 'too young' to participate in recital. And you know, what? I know exactly why did you said that! You have older sisters that play beautiful and advance piano pieces and you think that compare to their playing your 'Hot Cross Buns' is not worth people's attention. I am so glad that you had change of heart and decided to give it a shot!

For many years we used to celebrate big performances and great performers. We have to change this attitude and start celebrating first steps. When you are a professional player, you know, what you are doing and it is easy to keep going. But when you just making first steps, it is VERY HARD to stick with it, because you think that everybody else around you are much better then you are.

So, first of all, let me tell you something: most of students start with what we call 'easy pieces', but 'easy' is not easy. You did great job playing right hand and SINGING the 'Hot Cross Buns' :woohoo: Your voice is beautiful and clear. It was great performance! You also played the left hand and we now have n doubts that soon you will be able to play the piece with both hands! Great job!

We are going to send you a certificate of participation in our recital and a T-shirt nominated for ' Ariana, beautiful voice and great performance of Soft Mozart recital 2013'

Love, Hellene Hiner and Soft Mozart team

Helen, 4-year-old, USA

Helen, we were very surprised, how beautiful your mind is watching you playing on such a big piano and reading REAL notes. You are little, but brave and not scared of challenges! It is a very important attitude in life, because many people give up, when they afraid to do something wrong. Even if they are very smart and have great potentials! You already have this important skill in you and we are so proud of you!

You played 'Ode to Joy' using all the fingers of your right hand. It means that you have an excellent fine motor skills! :woohoo: It is important to have not just for playing piano, but for your academic success. Nominee for today: George, 4-year-old, UK

Hi, George! First of all I want to thank you and your mom for being sun shine in our forum! We love to see your pictures, watch your videos and see, how creative you and your mom are in learning music with Soft Mozart. We especially liked your garage with cars that you have on Grand Staff :woohoo:

George, we watch your performance, where you had played Russian New Year Song from Introductory. This is not an easy piece! It has 3 different chords and melody that goes to the second octave. You did a wonderful job playing the piece by 2 hands! :woohoo:

We notice that your attention span, ability to focus and fine motor skills developed big time! It is so important especially for active boys like you! It is preparing you for school, for being very good student there and to get only the best marks. You are very smart boy and like to switch activities often, because you grasp information very easily. But successful learning is not about just grasping, but patience and persistence. It seems like playing piano, learning music theory with your mom and ear training with Soft Mozart is helping you to develop your concentration level very rapidly and we like that!

For the boy that just turned 4 your are doing absolutely awesome! We are so looking forward to see you growing with us!

We love you and send you a certificate of participation in our recital! We also prepare a T-shirt for you with the nomination: 'I CAN play piano with both hands! Can YOU?'

Best regards Hellene Hiner and Soft Mozart team.

Our today nominee: Alisa, 4-year-old, Israel

Dear Alisa, thank you very much for sharing with us you piano performance! We like all the pieces that you played! We couldn't believe that such a little girl like you can play real acoustic piano and know so many piano pieces already! :woohoo:

Here what we had noticed about you and your performance: your fingers are strong and confident and have a right curve. When you were practicing the Hanon #1 for the first time you were playing non legato for 1 minute or so and after that switched for legato. This moment was great!

You have good sense of pulse of music and its rhythm. This is a rare ability for many children of your age especially at the beginning of learning piano, when you have way too many fingers and keys to handle. ;) You managed your coordination AND rhythm. It was impressive.

You have a wonderful, clear voice and sing the pieces that you play with Solfeggio. This is going to help you big time with ear training, memory and general music development. We are so happy for you that you are learning in the right direction.

Your progress is HUGE! You jumped from Nursery Primer to Boogie 1 - Indian Boogie! We loved, how you coordinate both hands and all of your fingers and anticipating great progress in your piano technique development in the close future!

Alisa, we love you and very proud of you! We think that with Soft Mozart and your great teacher Lubov Yanpolsky you are doing a remarkable job! We are going to send a certificate of participation in our Second International Soft Mozart recital and a T-shirt with the nomination: 'Alisa: I CAN play piano and very good at it!'

Sincerely,
Hellene Hiner and Soft Mozart team
