Celeste (2)plays her fist ensemble with her brother Isaac, In this video you can see the eye-hands coordination in development. Celeste looks for the notes on the computer screen and find the corresponding keys on the piano. The major task for her is to find the notes and keys. Therefore, she uses at the beginning and right and left hand focusing on that task. The speed of finding the notes and keys are telling us that her ability to shift the eye focus between the score and piano is very amazing.

(Introductory songs: 'French Song')

Alexandra started learning to play the piano and read music with 'Soft Mozart' program almost a year ago. Her mom went through training and certification from Soft Mozart's author Hellene Hiner. She is an excellent teacher that produce great results with her own children and many students in San Francisco area.

Alexandra (2) sight-reads and plays 'Ode to Joy' by Beethoven from the 'Introductory Songs' (Gentle Piano). This is a complicated piano piece for beginners, because it consists of the full music sentence (In Schoenberg's view, 'the sentence is a higher form of construction than the period. It not only makes a statement of an idea, but at once starts a kind of development'. It is very interesting to watch how the complication of the music influence Alexandra's piano touch: when faced melody's twists and turns complications she starts playing non-legato to be able to balance finger awareness, both hands and eye coordination and control of her hands weights since she plays the digital piano with weighted keys. We think, this is outstanding performance for such young student. Thumbs up, Alexandra!

'Jingle Bells' arrangement in Soft Mozart 'Introductory Songs' is aimed to teach beginners from 24 month (and younger!) to coordinate right and left hands while playing piano and reading notes at the same time. The shell chords of the left hand are sustainable while the melody of the right hand requires motions (pressing the same or different key). Besides teaching a child music such exercise promotes connection between both hemispheres and develops child's brain. Being able to exercise such advanced fine motor skills in such early age we prepare a child not just for well rounded music education, but academic success as well

On this video we can see, how focused a 2-year-old toddler can be in the destructive environment, when you are in a spot light. In the beginning of the video the child is getting disrupted for very short moments, but then the entire process of playing music with visual support is getting all the attention and Alexandra successfully finishing to play the entire piece being absolutely focused. Her attention span is exceptional. It is hard to believe that we are watching 2 year old toddler! The last minutes of the video, when our little performer is turning to the public, we can see, how important and flattering the reaction of other people to her performance. She feels very proud and her self-esteem and stamina just got very healthy boost. Amazing child!
