Music appreciation: E. Humperdinck ‘Slumber Song’ (to play, find in Favorite Classics Primer)

Ear training

Keep practicing the ‘Guess Key Game’ for 1 min and sing each note.

To avoid visual destructions you may keep covering the rest of the piano keys making the working area wider:





Listen to a 2nd track of ‘Note Alphabet Song – Chant’. Get familiar with cards’ names from Re to Re



Piano

Learn the names of the Right hand fingers as ‘Do’, ‘Re’, ‘Mi’, ‘Fa’, ‘So’
Keep learning, how to press Middle Door with Weight.

Gentle piano – Introductory songs – ‘Hot Cross Buns’ – Right Hand – 4 bars (6 notes) learning how to find the notes on yellow line and on the piano.



If necessary, cover half of the screen (green or brown) or ¾ of the screen to focus only on the notes on yellow line.

Sight-reading with the Gentle Piano: E. Humperdinck ‘Slumber Song’ (to play, find in Favorite Classics Primer) play R1, L1 or P1. Sing the notes with Solfeggio.

Theory

Pick from the pile of notes’ cards the picture by their short names ‘Do’, ‘Re’, ‘Mi’
etc.

For parents – beginners to play at least 8 bars using Right or Left hand.

- Playing 5 fingers exercise by Right Hand from Do trying to use different fingers

Gentle Piano:
- Practice playing R hand of the ‘Hot Cross Buns’ (4 bars – 6 notes) using 3-2-1 fingers
Practice ‘Hot Cross Buns’ with Left hand (4 bars – 6 chords) using two index fingers of both hands with help of little round extra stickers





Sight-reading with the Gentle Piano
