Hi Hellene, hi all,
Glad to be back with Soft Mozart.
Just as an introduction for all, we are starting our 4th yr with level 2.

Last year we also followed lesson plan for level 2, but a month seemed almost to short to learn the 2songs, so we decided to stay inin this, level agai and learn all the pretty songs we did not learn from various albums beside the lesson plan.
Dear Hellen, what do you suggest we learn?

For the first month heidi liked this:

Hello, Adeline!
I am impressed with Heidi's progress on learning the song! It is not an easy piece to learn in a month ;)

In Russian School of music the classical repertoire is:

https://pianolearningsoftware.com/pages/carl-czerni-50-beginners-exercises1. Studies / Etudes

2. Any part of Sonatinas Check 3.1 Musical Pieces T. Haslinger Sonatina C-dur (1), Allegro non troppo or
T. Haslinger Sonatina C-dur (2), Allegretto

3. Bach pieces - 2.3 Favorite Classics 3 : J.S. Bach Sheep May Safely Graze or
J.S. Bach Siciliana

4. Character pieces: I would suggest couple of pieces from Nutcracker

Please, let me know, what had you decided to learn finally!

Adeline, I see: the winter is arrived in Romania :) :) :)

I watched the videos. She made right choice with her piano pieces. The second one especially hard, has polyphony elements. She already memorized the piece. Now it will be great to practice it with a metronome to make sure that the last part is not falling out. ;)

Adeline, we have a wonderful video created by our expert Olga from Moscow - it is a gymnastics for proper piano hands - fingers placement.

I didn't have a chance to translate it from Russian to English, but it is very much self-explanatory.

Show the video to girls. Let them make these exercises!
