The reason of asking: I noticed that Brianna is trying to keep her fingers at the same place. All beginners are doing this unless they play such exercises as Hanon 1, Chromatic scale or Do Major. I included these in our lesson plan.

The 'Hot Cross Buns' is not from Introductory Album. In the version that she is practicing left hand is also playing the same chord. In INTRODUCTORY Album she will need to switch the chords.
