Christine,

Isabella is doing great. Wish I can do music lessons everyday with my son. He is also 4 years old. My second child is at the stage where she disturbs. So it is hard for me to find a quiet time. Can you tell me how long are her daily lessons and what do you usually do with her? Also are you using pictures or alphabet with Isabella when playing the piano?

Isabella has great progress .

Thanks,
Esther

Hey Esther,

Thanks, I really try to get her to practice three times a week for about an hour, some weeks she wants to do more some weeks she does less due to our hectic schedule or her mood . We have a little 5 month brother so I get the quiet time issue, but I put him the his bouncy seat and at this stage he enjoys listening to her and doesn't interrupt too much. Or we do it during his nap. We had started at 2 years old with alphabet but we weren't consistent with the program and then I read that using solfege was better so we have been using that ever since. I hope this helps you, if you have any other questions I can try to help.

Thanks,
Christine

Okay so we are little behind...maybe a lot. We are up to Section 3 in the curriculum. I also noticed we haven't been doing the Hanon exercises completely correctly. So we are slowing down a bit and trying to master the what we are doing at the moment.

My daughter insisted on trying to do part of the March of the Nutcracker...she does better than me.
