carlyngv, I looked close to all of your numbers. It seems to me like Bri needs more time on practicing separate hands. The time figure shows that she is in the process of developing fingers' awareness and eye-hand coordination. After the amount of time points will go down and will be less then amount of notes played, you may consider practicing the piano pieces with both hands.

Carlyn, on another hand, has very good numbers and it is time to hide the notes for her (press H after pressing R, L or P).

If Carlyn's score on PH will be close to perfect, move on to play the piano pieces with our TEACHING VIDEOS softmozart.com/forum/55-teaching-videos.html

Just start video with the metronome - and ask her to play alone with the hands of the teacher on video. If she will follow the next step will be the second video with no metronome.

I also would suggest you to upload video footage of the children to You Tube and share the link with me. I would be able to understand the learning situation better, if I will be able to see at least hands of your children.

Thanks for the advice earlier.

I just uploaded a video of Carlyn playing "Robot Rock." It's not perfect yet, but it sure is fun!

Robot Rock: both hands 162/164 - 60

I also practiced "Largo" : both hands 120/121 - 36

Hello Carlyn, Bri, and Clara,

We would like to comment on your progress:

When the time bar (on the right) is much greater than the amount of correct notes (on the very left) it means that the eye-hand coordination is just being built.

L16/16 - 29 requires more practice.
To play with both hands on P is a little premature.

You can read Hellene Hiner's blog where she explains the stages of learning, here:
www.softmozart.com/forum/20-hellene-hine...rite-a-new-book.html

And we have a final question for you:
Do you follow our lesson plan? What level did you choose?

Thank you,
Soft Mozart Team
