What Makes Soft Mozart A Quicker More Efficient Way To Learn?

First, let's be clear that Soft Mozart and the Hiner Method are not brand-new ideas. What is new is the application of old and successful ideas to the arena of teaching piano and music. Until now, that hadn't been done because it was impossible for students to enter into a relationship and deal directly with notes and the Grand Staff by way of exploration and self-correction.

We have a young piano learner, Sophiyka, who is now directly interacting with notes and the Grand Staff. Which means she doesn’t have to depend on someone else’s knowledge or their interpretation and mental processes. This alone frees her mind to attend to and become responsible for what she is doing during her lessons.
First encounters with the piano in waiting for the Soft Way to Mozart package. Sophiyka is 3 years 4 months

Now that Sophiyka is free, her understanding of the complex behavior of sound, notes, and their relationship to the Grand Staff and the keys on the keyboard are based on her own activity and her own senses. She can experience the validity of every movement she makes with her fingers.

All musical processes are presented as facets of the simple games Sophiyka has been playing inside Soft Mozart. That means there is continuous and coherent enlightenment as Sophiyka’s musical insight develops. This does not make Soft Mozart a video game, only that concepts and theory are presented by way of carefully executed games.

Musical education ceases to be a ladder to be climbed rung by rung. Now Sophiyka can make an entry point from various places, all of which provide her with musical experience. As she pays close attention and competes against herself, her desire becomes to be better than she was before, not better than her teacher thinks she ought to be. Which may or may not be in Sophiyka's best interest.
Sophiyka is 3 year old 6 months. She is working with Elementary Grand Staff, where notes and keys and her fingers are building to be one.

Because Sophiyka can visually track her own progress and her mistakes are shown to her by way of visual clues, she is able to self-correct. She will quickly develop a high degree of competence and initiative. When she makes mistakes, she can immediately correct errors and her self-confidence is not undermined but rather strengthened as it becomes visually obvious to her what she is doing that is causing the error.
Sophiyka is 3 year old 11 months. It is her first Winter Recital

The confidence that comes from being able to make sense of the many complex relationships between what Sophiyka does with her fingers, the lines and spaces on the staff, the keys on the keyboard, the note sounds, and the notes on the Grand Staff, means that Sophiyka is able to move from the known to the unknown with ease. Instead of being fearful of change, she is stimulated by it. This whole process gives her pleasure rather than a feeling of dread and her initiative is constantly stimulated by it.

You see, there is no teacher that can do for Sophiyka what Sophiyka can do for herself. No teacher can explain to Sophiyka what she can experience for herself in a few short hours with Mr. Oops, some butterflies and flowers, and a few spiders. Sophiyka is the one who must shoulder the responsibility for her own learning. And she does, with joy.

On the journey towards mastery, if Sophiyka decides to compete it will be a mature and self-driven decision. Many students don't want to compete, only play. The role of a master teacher in Sophiyka’s journey is that the teacher provides a well thought out process that Sophiyka cannot provide for herself. This kind of guidance only comes from years of experience that Sophiyka does not possess. But that is very different kind of teaching than what Sophiyka must, of necessity, do on her own.
Sophiyka is 5 year old 5 months. She is getting ready for another Butterfly Ball in the costume of an Angel. As you can see, she practices her piano with regular sheet music.

Now we want you to see the development of Sophiyka documented in the short video. You have to understand that these pictures, story and our explenation is not commercial advertisement and stock photos. This is genuine success story of real child, real parents that located far away from Hellene Hiner's Houston piano studio:
