Dear all,

A little update on Rachel's progress with Soft Mozart, she will be playing 4 pieces for Sept 1 - Dec 31 recital. She will play 2 pieces Circus rag and Midnight blue in October. The other two pieces are Dance of the Reed pipes -Nutcracker and The entertainer by Scott Joplin. We spent about an hour a day for 5 days practising songs. It seems a long time for a 4 year old to be sitting down and focus playing these songs. As a reward, I gave her Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles. She loved this tasty and healthy snack very much and would always ask for more.

She is currently polishing her first two pieces using Soft Mozart teaching videos. The videos are very helpful and it is cute to see her copy the hand movement from the videos.



She is working on memorizing Dance of the Reed pipes. We tried to memorize 8 bars at a time and progress from there. She is able to memorize half the song for the entertainer.

Rachel is learning to play Dance of the Reeds (Nutcracker). She is trying to memorize the song in Part 2 of the video. My son is in the background wanting to grab the video camera to take picture
