Hi,

Thank you for the prompt clarification.
I don't own a keyboard. I have one but it has only 29 keys (it has midi but has only OUT MIDI, there is no IN MIDI portal. Now due to budget constrains I can either buy a keyboard or soft mozart. The other has to wait for 4-5 months. Which one do you recommend me to buy first.

thank you

Dear Hui,

YES, you CAN teach your child. I started as music illiterate too. If you go through:
- the User Manual (free to download)
- the book "You CAN Be A Musician"
- and forum posts about this,
you shall see why and how.

The software, along with documentation and online forum support from teachers and parents will help you all the way.

Dear Maha,

The software does have parts of it which can be played only with computer without the keyboard; they teach ear training, sight-reading and more.
Gentle Piano (the interactive sheet music) and Guess Key need a keyboard with both Midi in and out. For more information, please read the User Manual (free to download)

Also, to learn to play the songs, you need a keyboard having at least 61 keys. Details: http://www.softmozart.com/technical-specs/piano-or-keyboard.html

Hope this helps.
